I rebuilt the primer on the fuel filter housing and replace the bleed screw on the filter housing. That fixed my problem. Its an 04.5 sierra 2500HD duramax 6.6 LLY, I got the truck a day ago and it ran and drove great when i met up with the guy and took it on a test drive and i had no problems starting it that day at all that day (although it probably didnt sit long enough to get too cold). If you do not have fuel in the CP3 pump- only air- it will NOT build rail pressure. Disconnect the fuel line at the CP3 and put a LITTLE pressure in the fuel tank, use a rag around the air line- check for flow out the hose. Possible the in-tank line is cracked- fuel hose at the driver side of the ...also, try and stay away from either. if you get desperate, use a small amount of gasoline, WD40 or something similar. much safer. bad CP3 can definitely leak fuel in to the return. pull the return on the CP3 and verify how much comes out when cranking. if it is too much it can rob the pumps ability to make pressure. If no signal to the BCM, check the pink wire on connector X1 at the BCM, pin 2, and the white wire connector X1 at the BCM pin 4. With the key in start position, both of these should have voltage. Pin 4 should have 5V. .
